PSI Waste is a family owned business dedicated to servicing the compactor and baler industry.
Located in Central Florida, our service area extends across the state from the East Coast of Florida to the West. We install, repair, and rebuild trash compactors and cardboard balers throughout Central Florida. We also build custom equipment, cart dumpers, and apartment-style compactors. We are a full service- from site surveys to installations and repairs. We do it all.
With our fleet of 6 service trucks, trained technicians, computerized wireless dispatching, and a large parts inventory, we provide unsurpassed service and quality. Five of our trucks have a torch and welder, and four have a crane. All are stocked with parts, hoses, and oil. We also have a roll-back truck loaded with a torch, welder, and install tools and supplies. We believe in being prepared.
In our shop, we rebuild and repair hundreds of self-contained and stationary compactors and balers annually. Fully rebuilt compactors are washed inside and out and completely disassembled for a full evaluation. We also roll them over to inspect the understructure and make necessary repairs. After reassembly, each compactor is tested, including electrical, hydraulic, and leak tests. If there is a problem, we want to find it.
PSI Waste is also a UL 508A Panel Shop. Many municipalities require that any compactor installed is UL Listed. PSI Waste can help you meet this requirement.

At PSI Waste, trash compactors are what we do.
We build, install, repair, rebuild, and modify trash compactors, cardboard balers, and closely related equipment. That’s it. However, that is a lot! We have five fully loaded service trucks. Our talented technicians and their trucks are equipped with cranes, welders, torches, and a wide selection of the most common replacement parts to repair most electrical and hydraulic issues, with a selection of steel to remedy structural deficiencies.
We take a methodical approach to preparing and outfitting our technicians with the right skills, tools, and parts to get the job done right on the first visit, resulting in accelerated recovery time for your customer’s operation. Most repairs are completed on the same day. We use computerized dispatching and smartphone technology. When a call comes in, it is scheduled in the office, and the technician receives the request electronically. Calls are color-coded and arranged in order of importance so everyone is in sync.
Emails are automatically generated and sent to the customers to confirm a scheduled service call. Follow-up emails are automatically sent, updating our customers’ work order status. Our shop has a very experienced team of welders, fabricators, and technicians to disassemble compactors and power units so they can be fully evaluated and rebuilt. We finalize the rebuilds with custom hoppers, full enclosures, cart tippers, and custom power units. Our UL panel shop builds standard and custom panels to meet your needs.
Who We Are
PSI Waste is a family business. Kevin and Diane have two children, Ian and Hayden.
Kevin and Diane grew up in Central Florida and enjoy being around family and friends. Kevin started working in the waste business in 1989. He worked at Hesco Sales, a local waste equipment manufacturer, as a lathe operator making base plates for hydraulic cylinders in garbage compactors. Kevin worked his way up, learning to design, build, and repair hydraulic cylinders, compactors, and other waste equipment.
During his career, Kevin has studied hydraulics, electrical control, power, recycling, and other relevant subjects, including business and human relations. In 2002, Kevin and Diane started PSI Waste Equipment Services, Inc. PSI Waste, located in Central Florida near Orlando, installs, repairs, and refurbishes trash compactors and cardboard balers.
